Oh yah! We prayed for this! There's news that a special court martial of the Nigerian Army has discharged and acquitted 57 soldiers who were charged with losing their weapons and going on an Absence Without Official Leave, AWOL while battling insurgents last year.

In December last year, the soldiers were charged with conspiracy to commit mutiny after their revolt led to the death of some of their colleagues in a duel with insurgents. They claimed that their
weapons were inferior to the enemy’s at the time.

Ojebe was also said to have conspired with two others, now at large, to commit felony, to wit obtaining money by false pretence and stealing N390,000 belonging to the victim.

French jihadists carrying out suicide bombings in Syria and Iraq

Seven French citizens or residents, including six converts to Islam, died while committing suicide attacks in Iraq and Syria, revealed Prime Minister Manuel Valls Monday as he defended the government's so-called ‘French Patriot Act'.

“We must pay particular attention to this new phenomenon because of the risk that it will be reproduced on French soil… Our intelligence services have established that seven individuals -- I’m talking about French citizens or residents --have died in suicide attacks in Syria and Iraq,” the prime minster said in front of the National Assembly, in defence of a controversial surveillance law that would allow security services to monitor suspicious activities without a court warrant.

Alison-Madueke Denies That Six Countries Turned Down Her Asylum Request

This evening Sahara Reporters published a blockbuster report they got from Business Council for Africa (BCA) claiming that Petroleum Minister, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, has been denied asylum by six countries where she had so far applied. The report claims she’s looking for a country to run to before Gen. Buhari takes over as president because she’s scared she might be probed or jailed.

But reacting this evening, Alison-Madueke, through the Group Public Affairs GM of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Ohi Alegbe, said there’s absolutely nothing of such happening.
