Sad!! Five Star Music Singer, Harrysong Loses Dad

According to a report by E247, Five Star Music recording act, Harrysong is currently mourning his dad barely two weeks after he celebrated his 34th birthday.

The report stated that Mr Songz, as the singer is known, lost his father on Friday, April 10, 2015.

    In the words of his publicist, Desmond Ike, who allegedly confirmed the sad news, “Yes its true, the call just came in a few minutes ago and he is currently demoralized. We’ll put out an official statement soon, please excuse me, I have take care of something now, I got to go, thanks.”

In Ebonyi: INEC Declares Umahi Winner

Ebonyi state Deputy Governor and PDP governorship candidate, Engr Dave Umahi has won the April 11 governorship election in the state. Announcing the result at the INEC’s headquarters in Abakaliki, the State Collation Officer and Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku declared that Umahi has met all the constitutional requirement and returned elected.

Umahi scored a total of 289, 867 votes to beat his closest rival, Nkwegu, who polled 124, 817. While the governorship candidate of APC, Senator Julius Ucha came third position with 27, 583.

The Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate, Udom Emmanuel has been declared winner of the Akwa Ibom governorship poll, News Agency of Nigeria reports. Udom polled 996,071 votes, ahead of All Progressives Congress Umana Okon Umana who got 89,865. The APC has called for cancellation of the polls."

Elections May Be Cancelled - INEC

The spokesman for the INEC chairman, Mr Kayode Idowu, said the commission had recorded reports of electoral violence in some places and would deal with it appropriately.

Results in areas where the state returning officer recorded violence may be cancelled, the Independent National Electoral Commission in Nigeria (INEC) has warned.

    The Independent National Electoral Commission conducted Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections across the country on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Governorship elections were held in 29 States of the Federation, while State Assembly elections were held in 36 states.

    No election took place in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). A general assessment shows that the elections went very well across the country.According to preliminary reports, 88.9 % of polling units opened for accreditation between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.across the country. Only 5.2 % were yet to open as of 1 pm. Also, 73 % of the polling units had commenced voting by 2.30 p.m.

The Igbo in Lagos want guarantee that their lives and property are secured. Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos had not-to-long ago threatened that the Igbo would perish in the Lagos lagoon, in seven days, if they did not vote for his choice governorship candidate in Saturday’s elections.

After the election, they have now issued an appeal to the Lagos State government and the state Commissioner of Police, Kayode Aderanti, to put in place adequate security measures for the protection of their lives and property after the general elections.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of the All Progressives Congress, APC has been officially declared the winner of the governorship election in Ogun State.

The Returning Collating Officer in the State, Prof. Duro Oni made the announcement in Abeokuta today, declaring that Amosun polled the highest votes among the candidates of the 16 political parties which participated in the election.
